Error: F2 / E1 (Self-Clean Overtemperature)

The oven exceeded the safe temperature during a self-clean cycle. The oven will lock the door and shut off the heating elements. Wait for the oven to cool completely before attempting to open the door. If the error persists after cooling, the thermal limit switch or control board may need replacement.

Error: F1 / E0 / F10 (Oven Temperature Sensor Failure)

The oven cannot regulate temperature because the temperature sensor (RTD probe) is reading incorrectly. The oven may not heat at all or overheat. The sensor is a thin rod-like probe inside the oven cavity, usually mounted on the back wall. Check the sensor resistance with a multimeter (should read around 1080 ohms at room temperature).

Error: F5 / dL / E6 (Door Lock Failure)

The oven door lock mechanism is not functioning correctly. This typically occurs during or after a self-clean cycle. The door may be stuck locked or unable to lock for self-clean. Try power cycling by turning off the circuit breaker for 5 minutes. If the door is stuck locked, wait for the oven to cool completely below 550F.

Gas smell without burner on

If you smell gas when all burners are off, turn off the gas supply valve behind the range immediately and ventilate the area. Do not use electrical switches or create sparks. Call your gas utility or a licensed technician. Common causes include a loose gas line fitting or a faulty gas valve.

Error: F9 / E0 / Ignition Failure (Gas Igniter)

The gas oven igniter glows but does not get hot enough to open the gas valve, or does not glow at all. If the igniter glows orange for more than 90 seconds without the gas igniting, the igniter has weakened and needs replacement. This is one of the most common gas oven repairs.
